These are some of our favorites for washing our bikes and related to biking in general.

5 gallon bucket: A perfect container to store all of the washing supplies in addition to filling with soap and water for washing.

Car wash mitt: After the initial rinse with water, this thing works great to slather the bike from top to bottom with soap. Easy to get the spokes and hard to reach areas.

Soap: I have been using car wash soap with great results.

Handheld shower head: This is a game changer for both showering and cleaning the bike. Just replace your fixed shower head and now you can spray the bike from different angles easily.

Microfiber cloth: Great for drying the bike

Chain waxing guide: The authoritative guide to everything about chain waxing. After watching videos and researching how and why to do this, all roads led to Zero Friction Cycling.

Chain wax: We have been using this product for years with excellent results in all kinds of weather and long (100 mile) rides.

Winter jacket: Castelli makes great gear and the Alpha Ros jacket is exceptional in the cold and wind.

Bell: A really slick bell that fits in the drops of your handlebar.

Power Meter: 4iiii has an option for sending in your crank arm and installing the power meter on it (in case you might be worried about clearance ie. your bike has a very narrow space between the crank and the frame). Love the built in “Find My Phone” functionality that works like an AirTag on iPhones.

Tires: Can’t go wrong with Continental GP5000’s.

Bike fit: Most people say this is some of the best money they have spent on their bikes. A good fitter will use software to compare your body movement to a distribution of other riders and tune parameters like: saddle height and position, cleat placement, handlebar height etc to get you comfortable and performing optimally.
